Compression is the best way to combat swelling

Isotoner therapeutic gloves help control swelling by providing gentle, even compression throughout the hand. While some compression devices restrict movement and are only advised to be used during rest periods, Isotoner gloves can be worn at any time day or night, during rest or activity.

Isotoner gloves apply external pressure to a swollen hand, while still allowing for freedom of movement. As with compression bandages, patients must keep an eye out for signs of restriction of capillary flow.*
For the treatement of hand swelling and edema, medical devices are often recommended as an alternative to drug or other treatments. Patients with extensive hand involvement who want to maintain their active lifestyle may find pain relief by wearing gloves such as Isotoner gloves.**

Note: Isotoner gloves should be used as a therapy device. If you choose to use a therapeutic glove, always consult a physician or therapist to make sure you are using the proper therapy for your specific condition.
